The bottle has a 1 litre capacity and keeps drinks hot for up to eight hours and cold for up to eighteen hours, thanks to stainless steel vacuum insulation. The bottle has a no-sweat exterior and contains recycled stainless steel and recycled ocean-bound plastic. One bottle collects 1000 plastic bottles and improves livelihoods in coastal communities. It is NFC Smart Chip enabled to collect more plastic with every refill. The bottle has a dual opening to allow for easy cleaning and filling, plus a anti-leak seal and easy carry loop. The bottle is dishwasher safe and BPA-free. Presented in a responsibly sourced recycled cardboard gift box. For every Ocean Bottle sold we commit to the collection of the equivalent of 1000 plastic bottles. That’s 11.4kg of plastic put to better use. Collectors trade plastic for money and get access to social resources such as healthcare, tuition, tech, and microfinance.
Ocean Bottle is a B Corp certified reusable bottle brand.
With the sale of each Ocean Bottle, 11.4kg of plastic (the equivalent of 1,000 ocean-bound plastic bottles) is collected globally, in coastal areas where plastic pollution is worst. They work with plastic collection partners Plastic Bank, Plastics for Change and Repurpose Global to actualise this collection.
The bottle is recyclable and part made from recycled ocean plastic. It comes embedded with an NFC enabled smart-chip, which allows owners to register the bottle to our Ocean Bottle Mobile App to further fund the collection of ocean-bound plastic (for free) each time a refill is registered.
Since launching in 2019 they have prevented over 9.1 MILLION kgs of ocean-bound plastic from reaching our oceans
